TERNERA GALLEGA (Protected Geographical Indication)
The meat commercialised under the Ternera Gallega PGI is exclusively from calves born, bred and slaughtered in Galicia. They are descendants of autochthonous breeds and their crosses passed a comprehensive control programme since they were born that also included breeding, feeding, transportation and slaughtering assessments as well as the final meat’s presentation at the selling point.
